Our Microschool Origin Story

Educating the Whole Child at Royal Oak Academy

At Royal Oak Academy, we believe education is about far more than academics alone. While strong reading, math, and critical thinking skills are important, we know that true education nurtures the whole child—mind, body, and spirit.

God created each child with purpose, gifts, and incredible potential. Our mission is to help students grow not only in knowledge, but in wisdom, character, and faith. God’s Word is woven into our daily life because learning how to live as God created us to live is just as important as learning how to solve an equation or write a paragraph. When children understand who they are in Christ, they gain confidence, compassion, and a strong moral foundation that will guide them for a lifetime.

Families Are Part of Royal Oak Academy

Royal Oak Academy is more than a school—it is a community. We believe parents and families are essential partners in education. Your voice matters here. Your insights, experiences, and hopes for your children help shape who we are and who we are becoming. As we grow, we want to grow in a way that truly reflects the needs and values of our community.

When you join Royal Oak Academy, you become part of our family. Together, we are building a learning environment rooted in faith, trust, and shared purpose.

What Is a Microschool?

Royal Oak Academy is a Christian microschool, a model that offers a personalized, relationship-centered approach to education. Microschools are intentionally small, allowing teachers to truly know each student—their strengths, challenges, and learning styles. This environment fosters deeper connections, individualized instruction, and meaningful mentorship.

For homeschool families, microschools provide the best of both worlds: the freedom and values of homeschooling combined with structured learning, peer interaction, and professional instruction. At Royal Oak Academy, we proudly serve homeschool families either full time (five days a week) or part time (three days a week), offering flexibility while maintaining consistency and excellence.

We serve students in Kindergarten through 7th grade, and we plan to grow one grade level each year—walking alongside families as their children grow.

A Place Designed for Families

We are excited to welcome families to our new location, conveniently located right at the exit and entrance to Route 58, making drop-off and pick-up easy and stress-free for parents.

We invite you to visit us during our Open House in January (date to be announced). Come see our space, meet our team, and learn more about how Royal Oak Academy supports faith-filled learning for homeschool families.

At Royal Oak Academy, we are planting seeds of knowledge, faith, and character—trusting God to grow strong oaks from every child who walks through our doors. We would be honored to grow together with your family.
